Thailand Culinary Academy Korea – IFK – WACS International Competition 01 – 05 May 2012
Thailand Culinary Academy had completed our 3rd oversea culinary competition in Daejeon Korea from 01 – 05 May 2012. Korea International Food Fair 2012 (IFK) conjunction with WACS Congress which 93 countries President or Representative had participant in an 5 day meeting. Endorse by WACS as international Competition IFK had attract more than 30 countries, 900 over chefs competing in 39 different categories,. Thailand Culinary Academy 16 team member consist of 10 professional chefs, 2 Junior chefs, 4 supported team travel from 29 April – 06 May 2012 and manage to achieve by winning 1 Gold Medal, 14 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medal. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all Academy boards, advisors, members and private sector sponsors for making this happen. Without your massive support, we would not be able to achieve the glory for Kingdom of Thailand.
Thailand Culinary Academy still need your continue support and sponsors, 3 more overseas project had been set for this year, at this moment, our sponsors funding are very low. Cash sponsorship are still open and we are looking forward to seek additional of 3.7 million baht in order for us to continue our project. Once again, thank you all and look forward your favorable reply and wish us luck in the next culinary competition in Tasmania Australia (22 – 23 May 2012) and IKA Culinary Olympics Erfurt Germany (05 – 10 Oct 2012)
Note: First ever in Thailand history, Thailand junior chef had a chance to compete in culinary Olympics and showcase their culinary talent to the world.

We, Thailand Culinary Academy will continue to train, develop and uplift the culinary standard of Thai chef matching international platform in order for them promote Thai Kitchen to the World. Even we are only a small group of passionate chefs, lack of funding, no interest by most media and with just few kind support from the private sector sponsors, we will continue our objective to achieve Thai Chef and Thai Kitchen to the World !!!

Singapore Food & Hotel Asia 17 – 21 April 2012

Thailand Culinary Academy had completed our 2nd oversea culinary competition in Singapore Expo / Singapore from 15 – 21 April 2012.Food Hotel Asia Culinary Challenge 2012 had attract more 17 countries, 660 chefs from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Switzerland, China, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New-Zealand, Philippines, Sri-Lanka, Vietnam, India, Indonesia and Thailand competing in Gourmet Team Challenge, Dream Team Challenge, Asian Pastry Cup 2012, FHA2012 Imperial Challenge and 16 different classes.
Thailand Culinary Academy 22 team member consist of 14 professional chefs, 8 supported team travel from 15 – 21 April 2012 and manage to achieve by winning 3 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medal, 13 Bronze Medal

Special Note: We would like to thanks Thai Airways International for sponsoring us 10 return flight ticket, massive support for the excess load in luggage (Additional of 420 kg), Tawandang Germany Brewery (Thailand) for engaging Thai PBS TV to report our entire competition in Singapore and not forgetting Food Stylist (Our Media Sponsors) for filming our Gourmet Team Challenge.
Accident occur while transporting Thai Gourmet Team buffet from Hilton Singapore to Singapore Expo after all 6 team member lead by Chef Sakchai had prepared the entire 28 type of buffet menu over 560 portion non stop without any sleep and rest, 2 out of 3 Cambro boxes had collapse and all prepared food fell apart
The team did not expect of competing due to 50% of the spread had been mess up but with the permission of the Judges, additional helper was given to the team. The team manage to maintain their sportsmanship re-prepared the entire buffet and manage to completed the entire set up to the judging panel and awarded with 6 Bronze Medal. When the last dish was place on the buffet table, all team member with tear in their eye saying finally we had “bring” Thai Cuisine to Singapore Expo. Well-done Guys, you have make Thailand proud.

Penang – Malaysia Report 08 – 10 March 2012
Thailand Culinary Academy had completed our 1st oversea culinary competition in Strait Quay Penang Malaysia from 08 – 10 March 2012. Penang Chef Challenge and PCC Green Horn Culinary Challenge had attract more than 450 chefs from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand competing in 15 different classes. Thailand Culinary Academy 27 team member consist of 4 professional chef, 19 junior chef and 4 academy board travel from 05 – 11 March 2012 manage to achieve by winning 6 overall trophy, 12 Gold Medal, 12 Silver Medal and 14 Bronze Medal. I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all Academy board, advisors, members and private sponsors for making this happen. Without you massive support, we would not be able to achieve the glory for Kingdom of Thailand.
